Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor Circuit
A general electrical fault on the DPF differential-pressure sensor circuit. Without a valid pressure reading the ECU cannot estimate soot load and may inhibit regeneration.
SystemPowertrain
Typegeneric / SAE
GroupP2
Range / number4 / 52
Possible causes
- DPF pressure sensor failed high
- Sensor sample hoses clogged with soot medium
Symptoms
- Check engine light or DPF warning light on
- Power loss / limp mode
- Increased fuel consumption
- Failed forced regeneration attempts
Inspection / repair
- Difficulty: medium
- DIY: possible
- Estimated cost: 80–350 €
- Estimated time: 0.3–1.5 h
- Component: dpf differential pressure sensor
- Component: dpf pressure sensor wiring
- MIL / check engine light
- emissions-relevant
- drive cycle required
