generic / SAE
P233F
Fuel Pressure Regulator B Solenoid Supply Voltage Control Circuit High
Same as P233D but with the supply line shorted to a higher potential than expected, so the ECU measures more voltage on the regulator B feed than the commanded level allows.

Range / number3 / 3F
Possible causes
- Supply line shorted to a higher voltage rail high
- Supply relay contact welded closed low
- Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance low
Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Hard start, no start, or stalling under load
- Power loss especially at high load or rpm
- Possible long cranking time
Inspection / repair
- Difficulty: medium
- DIY: possible
- Estimated cost: 80–350 €
- Estimated time: 0.6–1.5 h
- Component: fuel pressure regulator b
- Component: regulator b supply relay
- MIL / check engine light
- emissions-relevant
