O2 Sensor Pumping Current Range/Performance (Bank 2)
The pumping current of the wide-band O2 sensor on bank 2 is in electrical range but plausibility check fails. Wide-band sensors use a pumping cell that adjusts oxygen concentration in a reference chamber; the current required is proportional to lambda.

Possible causes
- Pumping cell aged high
- Sensor element aged beyond calibration window low
- Sensor mounting loose - signal damping low
Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Increased fuel consumption
- Possible rough idle or hesitation
- Failed emissions test
Inspection / repair
- Difficulty: medium
- DIY: possible
- Estimated cost: 80–500 €
- Estimated time: 0.5–2.5 h
- Component: oxygen sensor
- MIL / check engine light
- emissions-relevant
