A Camshaft Profile Actuator A Control Circuit High Bank 2
Excessively high control voltage at the cam profile actuator (intake, profile A, bank 2). Same fault as P001C on bank 2. The cam phaser actuator adjusts intake/exhaust timing under load — a stuck or slow phaser kills mid-rpm torque and can throw correlation codes between cam and crank.

Possible causes
- Wiring shorted to battery voltage high
- Connector pins corroded - high contact resistance low
- Supply wire pinched against B+ source low
Symptoms
- Check engine light on
- Power loss especially in mid-rpm range
- Possible rough idle or stalling
- Increased fuel consumption
Inspection / repair
- Difficulty: medium
- DIY: possible
- Estimated cost: 80–800 €
- Estimated time: 0.5–4 h
- Component: cam profile actuator
- Component: actuator wiring
- MIL / check engine light
- emissions-relevant
